Gas Appliance Installation in Stoke-on-Trent

Gas fires, cookers and hobs all need more than a connection — each has its own flue, clearance or stability requirements. We install and check all three, and each has a dedicated page below.

Choose your appliance

Each appliance has different requirements, so the detail lives on its own page rather than being buried in one long list.

Gas fires

Flue condition, ventilation and clearances matter most. A fire that looks fine can still be unsafe if the flue has deteriorated. Installation, annual servicing and repairs are covered on the gas fires page.

Gas cookers

The connection, the hose and the stability bracket or chain are the things that matter. Replacing a cooker usually means replacing the hose too. See gas cooker installation.

Gas hobs

Clearances to walls, cupboards and extractors, plus the worktop cut-out, decide whether a hob can go where you want it. See gas hob installation.

What is common to all of them

Whichever appliance you are having fitted, the essentials are the same:

  • The appliance must suit the gas supply and the location
  • The connection is leak-tested before we leave
  • Ventilation and clearances are checked against the manufacturer’s instructions
  • The appliance is commissioned and the controls explained
  • Anything that cannot be used safely is not left connected

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers within their registered categories. If an appliance falls outside what we can safely undertake, we will say so rather than take it on.

Frequently asked questions

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes. SureFlow Heating Ltd is Gas Safe registered for the relevant domestic gas work categories. We do not publish our registration number online, but you can verify any engineer on the Gas Safe Register.

Which appliances do you install?

Gas fires, gas cookers, gas hobs, boilers and unvented hot water cylinders. Each has its own requirements — follow the links above for the detail on fires, cookers or hobs.

Can you fit an appliance I bought myself?

Usually, yes, provided it suits the gas supply and the space. Tell us the make and model before booking so we can check compatibility and clearances.

Do you disconnect old appliances?

Yes. Old appliances are isolated and disconnected safely as part of the job, and the supply is capped or isolated where it is not being reused.

I smell gas — what should I do?

Get everyone out of the property, avoid switches and naked flames, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 from outside. Do not wait for a routine appointment.
