Emergency Plumber in Stoke-on-Trent
Burst pipe, major leak, or heating and hot water gone when you need it most? Contact SureFlow immediately. Call for the fastest response, or WhatsApp if you cannot talk.
How to get help fastest
Call. A ringing phone is answered faster than any form. If you cannot talk, WhatsApp with your postcode, the problem, and photos. The online quote form is for non-urgent work. Do not use it in an emergency.
What happens on an emergency visit
The first job is making safe: stopping water, isolating electrics or gas appliances as needed, and preventing further damage. Permanent repair follows where parts and conditions allow. Where a follow-up is needed, such as specialist parts or drying out, it is agreed in writing before we leave.
Availability
Emergency call-outs are available 24 hours a day. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with evenings and weekends covered for genuine emergencies. During cold snaps demand spikes, so early contact genuinely helps. If SureFlow cannot attend, we will say so promptly rather than leave you waiting.
Emergency or routine?
Not every urgent-feeling problem needs an emergency call-out, and it helps to know which you are dealing with before you call.
Treat as an emergency: uncontrollable leaks, water coming through a ceiling or near electrics, sewage backing up, a burst pipe, or total loss of heating and hot water in freezing weather or where someone vulnerable lives.
Usually routine: a dripping tap, a slow leak you can isolate, a toilet that runs, a radiator that will not heat, or a boiler fault where the property is warm and safe. These can normally be booked into the diary rather than paid for as an emergency.
If you are unsure, call and describe it. We will tell you honestly whether it can wait.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Uncontrollable leaks, water through ceilings or near electrics, sewage ingress, total loss of water, or loss of heating and hot water in freezing weather or with vulnerable occupants. If in doubt, call. Describing the problem costs nothing.
What should I do while waiting?
Turn off the nearest isolation valve or main stopcock, switch off the boiler if it is leaking, contain water with towels and buckets, and keep clear of electrics. Send photos via WhatsApp so the engineer arrives prepared.
Do you charge extra for emergency call-outs?
Emergency attendance reflects urgency, timing and parts. You will always be told the basis of charging before anyone sets off. Ask when you call.
I smell gas — should I call you?
No. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first, from outside the property if needed. Contact us after the property has been made safe.
