Provide the appliance type, make, model and proposed task. A cooker connection, boiler service and gas fire service involve different categories of competence. Do not assume that registration for one appliance covers all gas work.
Confirm the scope before booking
Ask what the appointment includes, whether any preparation is needed and how additional work would be authorised. An appliance safety check and a service are not interchangeable descriptions.
Suspected gas leak
Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. Do not investigate or repair a gas escape yourself, and do not wait for an email reply. Follow the emergency operator’s instructions.
