A boiler enquiry usually starts with one of three needs: restoring heating or hot water, arranging maintenance, or planning a replacement. Choose the guide that matches your situation.
When a boiler stops working
Record the make, model and exact display message. Explain whether the issue affects heating, hot water or both, and whether it happens all the time. A fault code is a starting point for investigation rather than a diagnosis on its own.
Keeping an existing boiler
Servicing follows the manufacturer’s requirements and is different from a breakdown repair. Tell the engineer about recurring pressure loss, unusual sounds or resets even when the appliance is currently working.
Choosing a replacement
A suitable design considers heat loss, hot water demand, the existing system and installation constraints. Bigger output does not automatically mean better performance. Ask which alterations and commissioning documents are included in the proposed work.
