Comfort depends on how the boiler, pipework, radiators and controls work together. A cold room does not automatically mean the boiler needs replacing.
Describe the pattern
Note whether every room is affected, one radiator stays cold, or the system only misbehaves at certain times. Say whether hot water still works and whether any controls have recently been changed.
Repairing the right part
Poor circulation, control faults and undersized emitters need different solutions. An assessment should establish the cause before recommending a new pump, valve, radiator or system clean.
Planning improvements
For a new layout or extension, room heat loss and intended use matter. Controls should suit the household’s routine, and radiators need appropriate output at the intended operating temperatures.
